Five tips to maximize the space in your storage container

1. Choose the right size container
The first step is, of course, the container itself. What exactly do you want to store? And will it remain just these goods, or will your stock grow soon? These are all questions that determine what size container you need.
The smallest (mini) storage container is 4ft. That is approximately 4,6 m3. Ideal for storing small materials and goods, such as (garden) tools, generators, lawnmowers, and computers. If you need more space, we have 5ft, 8ft, or 10ft storage containers available. Of course, our standard 20ft and 40ft containers are also very suitable for storage. You can create up to 68 m³ of storage space with a flexible storage container!
2. Choose the right version
Size? Check! Now the question is: what type of storage container do you need? For example, do you have goods that need to be kept refrigerated? Then you need a reefer as a storage container. No refrigeration but do need electricity? Then you naturally need a container with a power supply, such as the shelving/electricity container or our Hacon Solar container.

3. Strategic placement of goods in a storage container
Are you setting up your storage container for the first time? Make sure you organize the container properly. Height is your best friend when storing goods, so make the most of it. Place heavy items at the bottom and lighter items on top. Do you need to regularly take items out of the storage container? Then clear a clear walkway so that you can easily access every section of the container. Put items you need often at the front and less frequently used items at the back. This not only makes your container more efficient, but also safer to use. Do you have so many items that you cannot create a walkway? Then choose a container with multiple doors, such as a double door container, open side container, or all side open container. This allows you to create a walkway along the outside of the container, as it were.
4. Use of shelving units
Efficient vertical storage is worth its weight in gold. Shelving units not only allow you to store more items, but also keep everything organized and accessible. Stack boxes and other items neatly on the shelves and make sure you can always easily reach the items in the middle. This saves time and effort when searching for the right items.
