The depot is equipped for the storage of ocean containers and the maintenance of reefer containers, and fits perfectly with Hacon Containers’ logistics services. <br><br>Thanks to its location near the A4 and A15 highways, the depot is easily accessible. In addition, the site has a barge connection, ensuring efficient and sustainable transport of containers to and from the Rotterdam port area.</p>

<p>Until last year, the depot at Butaanweg was known as Overbeek Container Control (OCC). When Hacon Containers acquired the depot, the news came as a surprise to Aroen.</p>
<p><em>"At first, you're naturally curious about how such a transition will turn out. It didn't take long before I developed a positive feeling. Hacon has shown that they are willing to invest in the depot, the people and the quality of our services."</em></p>

<p>The Butaanweg location has been a well-known site within the Port of Rotterdam for many years, and for good reason.</p>
<p>Its central location, close to container terminals and major transport connections, enables HCD to respond quickly and serve customers with maximum flexibility. In a port where available space for container storage is becoming increasingly scarce, that is a significant advantage.</p>
<p><em>"We are seeing more and more vacant sites being redeveloped into distribution centres. While that makes sense from a market perspective, the port also needs sufficient space for container storage and logistics services."</em></p>
<p>With its strategic location, extensive facilities and years of experience, Hacon Container Depot continues to play an important role in the logistics chain of the Port of Rotterdam.</p>
<h2>Behind the scenes: no two days are the same</h2>
<p>At a container depot, everything revolves around planning, efficiency and quality. Every morning starts with coordinating incoming and outgoing container movements.</p>

<p>The new installation not only improves operational efficiency but also gives the depot a cleaner, more modern and professional appearance.</p>

<p>The new reefer rack was realised in close cooperation with our colleagues at <a href="https://www.hacon.nl/modificaties">Hacon Container Modifications (HCM)</a>. Thanks to the dedication and teamwork of everyone involved, the project was completed successfully.</p>

<p>Looking back on the period since the acquisition, Aroen is especially proud of the way the team embraced the transition.</p>
