With a close-knit team of six colleagues, our Purmerend location works hard every day to provide various companies in North Holland and the surrounding area with container solutions!
A compact team, a big impact
Melger, Marko, Job, Niek, Ad, and Rob make up the Purmerend team. “We are a small team, but we complement each other perfectly,” says Melger. “Everyone has their own specialism, but we help each other where necessary.” The Purmerend location became part of Hacon Containers on January 1, 2024, in order to offer our variety of containers to even more companies in the Randstad and surrounding areas. No two days are the same for the Purmerend team. Melger explains: “We start each week with a joint team meeting, after which we do various things, from drawing up quotations to coordinating transport, but we are also proactive in visiting customers and prospects.” Building customer relationships and maintaining regular contact, whether in person or not, is very important in this sector.
A team that does everything: from advice to delivery
It all starts with a good conversation. This applies not only to our location in Purmerend, but at Hacon Containers, we believe that identifying the customer's wishes is of the utmost importance. Melger explains: “After the initial contact has been made, whether by email, telephone, or in person, we always make another appointment on site. This ensures that we can fully identify the customer's wishes.”
In Purmerend, requests mainly concern storage units, accommodation containers, and refrigerated/freezer containers. The Purmerend team also focuses more on customization and the special requirements of regional customers. This is partly due to the requirements of companies in the region, but also because there is a lot of competition. Thinking along with customers and providing customized solutions is therefore a must.

Melger explains: "One of our largest customers was about to stop doing business with us because our regular supplier stopped supplying 30-foot units. But by thinking along with them, responding quickly, and being flexible, we were able to find a new supplier in the Czech Republic."
